BookWorm
I have a massive book kink so I'm listing here books, both technical and non technical, which have given me intense reading pleasure and/or information.
Techie Stuff
C Programming:
Let Us C, Yashwant Kanetkar, BPB Publications:
This is indeed the baap of all books on C, as far as fast learning goes. However its not too in depth, so cannot be used as a reference.
Schaums Outline Series, C programming:
Another great start up book, a little detail on file handling that goes a long way
C Reference, Shildt: the mammoth reference guide to the C language.
Contains most of the needed stuff for reference.
Stan Lipman, Title Unsure:
This is another behemoth, which can be used in place of Shildt. Opinion as to which is better is split down the middle. I personally prefer Shildt.
Exploring C, Test Your C Skills, both Kanetkar:
This is a fantastic pair of books which can be used to hone the C skills. Its got a bunch of code snippets which have tricky outputs. Fascinating stuff.
